  1.     As you travel through the pyramid, you will find equipment and other things lying around.  You can pick these things up by clicking on the "Pick Up" button.  This button is just under the arrow buttons, in the upper-left corner of the screen.  (If the button is dim, there is nothing here you can pick up.  Not everything you find can be picked up!)  Once you've picked a thing up, you'll see it listed in the Inventory window along with everything else you're carrying.
  2.     You can only see the view down a corridor; you can't look at your feet.  This means that when you're standing right over something, you can't see it.  So don't be fooled: if you can see it, you're still too far away to pick it up.
